This Pioneer 9-inch Perfect Fit fitting kit allows installation of the Pioneer SPH-PF97BT (sold separately) into BMW 3 Series (E46) 1999–2006 models equipped with factory navigation systems and rear-mounted tuner units with round pin connectors. Designed specifically for Pioneer 9 inch Perfect Fit stereos, the kit retains factory steering wheel audio controls and includes extension and aerial adapters required for vehicles with rear radio modules. Supplied with fascia adapter, interface and patch lead for seamless OEM-style installation.

Upgrade your BMW 3 Series (E46) from 1999 to 2006 with this dedicated Pioneer 9-inch Perfect Fit fitting kit, designed specifically for vehicles equipped with factory navigation systems and a rear-mounted radio tuner unit with round pin connectors.

Designed for Pioneer 9 inch Perfect Fit stereos such as the SPH-PF97BT (sold separately), this kit enables installation of a modern floating-style touchscreen head unit while maintaining key factory functionality. The included steering wheel control interface ensures that the original steering wheel audio controls are retained and continue to operate with the new Pioneer stereo.

Because these vehicles have the radio tuner located in the rear of the vehicle, the kit includes a 4.5 metre aerial extension cable along with the required aerial adapter to route the signal from the rear module to the new head unit in the dashboard.

A 9-inch fascia adapter panel is included to provide a clean OEM-style dashboard finish, while the Pioneer patch lead ensures seamless communication between the interface and the head unit.

This complete installation solution is specifically designed for E46 navigation-equipped vehicles, ensuring compatibility where standard audio kits will not work.

This head unit fitting kit includes:

Antenna extension

This cable is used to extend the antenna connection by 4.5 metres

Female ISO to Male DIN antenna adapter

This cable converts the cars existing ISO aerial plug to an aftermarket DIN type used by Clarion, JVC, Pioneer, Sony and other Japanese, Chinese and American radio manufacturers.

Steering wheel control interface

Steering wheel control interface and adapter cable for vehicles with original navigation screens that have the tuner unit in the rear of the car with the round pin connector.. The cable adapts from the 17 Round Pin connector in the car to standard ISO aftermarket ISO connectors. This replaces the need for a separate ISO radio replacement adapter cable. The CANbus steering wheel control interface is built in to the adapter cable for a plug and play installation. This interface will allow the original audio control buttons on the steering wheel to work with the new aftermarket radio.

Pioneer Patch Lead

Adapter lead to pair an InCarTec 49- series steering wheel control interface to the steering wheel remote input of a Pioneer aftermarket radio.

This short adapter lead connects to the 12 pin micro molex connector on the 49- series interface box and to the steering wheel remote input on the back of a Pioneer radio. The steering remote input on a Pioneer radio is usually labelled "W/R" (wired remote)

BMW 3 Series (E46) 1999 to 2006 9 inch fascia adapter (MATT BLACK)

Designed specifically for BMW 3 Series (E46) from 1999 to 2006, this fascia is designed for installation of the Pioneer 9” stereo. Built as a bespoke fit for vehicles in the application list, it adapts the dashboard aperture after removing the factory stereo to accept a universally mounted 4-screw head unit. This ensures compatibility with the Pioneer 9 inch system while retaining the original OEM-style appearance of the dashboard.
