This patch lead plugs into the 2 or 3 wire resistive learning fly leads of the 20-XXX-SWC cable converts into the 3.5mm socket to then be plugged into the back of any head-unit that has self learning voltage steering control input.
Refer to the instructions that come with the after market head unit or the head units manufacturer for information on how to custom programme the steering wheel controls by resistive learning and if your radio has this capability.
