This head unit fitting kit includes the following:

Double Fakra to DIN aerial adapter (Phantom Power) with Bullet connector (21-139)

Double Fakra to DIN antenna adapter cable with 12v phantom power. This antenna adapter cable adapts from the original Double Fakra connector in the vehicle to a standard aftermarket radio DIN antenna connection for the fitting of a stereo upgrade.

Radio replacement steering wheel adapter interface (29-UC-050-VW1)

Steering wheel control interface and adapter cable for Volkswagen, Seat and Skoda cars to fit an aftermarket radio upgrade.

The cable adapts from the Quadlock connector in the car to standard aftermarket ISO connectors. This replaces the need for a separate ISO radio replacement adapter cable.

The CANbus steering wheel control interface is built in to the adapter cable for a plug and play installation.

This interface will allow the original audio control buttons on the steering wheel to work with the new aftermarket radio. The interface will work the volume, track skip, source, mute and phone buttons. Note; the operation of these buttons can be dependent on the vehicle specification and radio compatibility.

The CANbus interface will also provide a key present ignition, illumination, speed pulse, reverse gear and handbrake outputs. A key present ignition means the stereo will turn on with the first click of the key and stay on until the key is removed from the ignition barrel.

Note: No radio information will be shown on the original display in the car

Universal patch lead set for steering control interface (29-UCCAB-SET)

Patch cable set to connect a UNICAN interface between an after market head unit and the steering wheel controls. Can be used with Alpine, Kenwood, JVC (single wire), Pioneer, Sony and Chinese/Resistive learning head units with either two wires or a 3.5mm jack.

Double DIN flush fit fascia (50-172)

Car radio fascia adaptor panel to allow the fitting of an aftermarket Single DIN car radio upgrade.

The fascia adaptor allows the fitting of an aftermarket radio into the dashboard by matching the shape, style and colour of the original radio.

This fascia kit includes a removable pocket. If fitting a double DIN radio the central bar needs to be cut out and a radio cage used.

Compatibility

This fitting kit is compatible with Volkswagen original head units fitted with a double Fakra connection, Please see pictures below.

Please note that some vehicles have original DAB. This is not retained with this kit and will require 21-037 Fakra to SMB adapter.

This kit also does not retain original reverse cameras or USB and AUX ports. Please see the other items listed against your car and original head unit to see if these are available as they vary by model and originally fitted radio.

Not suitable for original amplified systems (Dynaudio, Fender) Please use FK-172-SWC2-D for these models.
